Ron Meurer, ATC

A 1980 graduate of the University of New Mexico, Ron Meurer was educated in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers’ tradition.  His entire professional career (1980-2014) was spent at West Mesa High School in Albuquerque, NM, during which he was a founding influence of the NMATA; he served and was recognized for many NMATA accomplishments, including the inaugural development of New Mexico Licensure and the conception of the RMATA logo.  He participated in several NATABOC examinations throughout District Seven.  As an integral, dedicated leader of the RMATA HOF committee for eight years, he helped make the prestigious award what it is today.

Ron has been proudly supported by his wife Kris, sons Aaron and Ryan.
