Jennifer Ann Stone MS, ATC, CSCS

 

Jennifer Stone attended Gettysburg College where she earned her BA in Health and Physical Education in 1976. She continued on to earn her Master of Science in Physical Education with specialization in Athletic Training from the University of Arizona. Jen worked at the Head Athletic Trainer at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center from 1978 to May of 2000 and was the Senior Manager of Clinical Programs since 1992. She spent three years as a Consultant for Lynmar Racquet and Health Club, before returning to Athletic Training at Will J Palmer High School. Jen presently works as a Staff Athletic Trainer for the U.S. Air Force Academy. Throughout her career she has been involved as a volunteer Athletic Trainer for the U.S. Association of Blind Athletes and the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Jen has been involved on the District and National level, promoting women in Athletic Training and served as the District 7 Representative on the Women in Athletic Training Task Force and Women in Athletic Training Committee. In 2005 she was awarded the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award and was inducted into the RMATA Hall of Fame in April of 2012. When asked to share a story from her Athletic Training Career, she said, “I really don’t have any one story. I just have enjoyed all the people I’ve met and the places I’ve travelled to.”
