Chris Mathewson

Chris Mathewson is the Head Athletic Trainer at Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado. He earned his BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wyoming and his Master of Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama.

Chris has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Ponderosa High School since 1994 and has also worked in a variety of settings throughout the course of his career including; Colorado Athletic Conditioning Clinic, Denver Broncos, Steadman Hawkins and the NFL.

​

Chris has served the Athletic Training profession with distinction in a variety of positions. Chris was the President of the CATA from 2003-2009, was the Secretary of the RMATA from 2010 – 2014 and has been serving on the NATA Board of Directors as the District 7 Director since 2014.

​

Chris lives in Parker, Colorado with his wife, Wendy and his two daughters, Taylor and Bailey.
