COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose, objectives and functions of the Public Relations Committee shall be:
1. Increasing the public’s awareness and understanding of certified athletic trainers, and the value, which they possess in various work environments.
2. The Public Relations Committee will work in conjunction with the District and National office, in the promotion of athletic training.
3. The Public Relations Committee will provide assistance (planning, promotional materials, etc) to any member who would like to promote the profession of athletic training.
4. The Public Relations Committee will work with the Professional Association Liaison Committee to provide any information regarding the profession of athletic training to any organization that might request it.
5. The Public Relations Committee will work with the Governmental Affairs Committee to provide any information regarding the profession of athletic training to legislators that might request it.
6. The Public Relations Committee will submit periodic progress reports to the appointed member at large to be reviewed during Board of Directors meetings.
