Full Time Athletic Trainer, Clinical Position.  Carbondale and Glenwood Springs Colorado. 

 

Minimum bachelors.  New grads considered.  Competitive compensation package.   Focus will be with orthopedic rehabilitation as part of the Physical Therapy team.  Program development also encouraged (eg. outreach, fitness testing, elite athlete training, orthotics etc.)  Great interpersonal skills, high level of motivation and ability to work independently.

Player/Basketball Operations: Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy/Doctor

Athletic Trainer will be responsible but not limited to maintaining the health of the players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of D-League personnel from injuries;
  • Document injuries and rehabilitation plans;
  • Coordinate Team physicals;
  • Work Team training camps and local player tryouts;
  • Coordinate all Team medical billing;
  • Communication liaison between Team Physician (as defined below) and Team and D-
  • League Media Relations;
  • Monitor and document Team drug/sports medical equipment inventory;
  • Manage Team equipment – distribution and retrieval;
  • Maintain training room equipment;
  • Launder Team apparel;

Qualifications:
Must be certified by National Athletic Trainers’ Association

This is a seasonal position.  The Team is seeking a Trainer who is available immediately to complete the remainder of the 2009/10 season.  Team housing is available as part of the compensation package.  Travel per diem is paid as part of the compensation package.

Broomfield Shootout Soccer Tournament Medical Staff Needed

 

We are seeking 6 or more reliable and self-sufficient, Certified Athletic Trainers to work with our Soccer Tournament in August.

  • Position Summary - The Medical Staff will be in charge of maintaining medical coverage for the weekend of the tournament August 12th to 15th, 2010. The medical coverage will include but is not limited to monitoring fields, responding, examining, assessing, advising, reporting, and treating athlete's injuries. Other jobs will include applying protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages, or braces to body parts such as ankles, fingers, or wrists.

     

    Payment Options - Payment will be based upon qualifications. In the past we have done different ways of compensation (promotion of programs if someone was interested, and direct payments of check which were $20 per hour). We can discuss payment with your interest. Thanks.

     

  • Job Qualifications - NATA certification in good standing or qualified student in training with good organization and communication skills. We are looking for 6-10 trainers for the weekend. A successful candidate would have the flexibility of working between 8am to 8:00pm during the weekend of the tournament. The tournament runs Thursday and Friday nights, and then all day Saturday and Sunday. 

     

  • Materials and Equipment Directly Used - You will need to bring your own equipment for the tournament, but will be provided with Ice, Medical Tent, Table, Chairs, and a Golf-Cart for quick response. The players that need tape and pre-wrap will be informed to bring their own to the table to get wrapped prior to games. Most of the work is minor injuries and or major injuries where you asses and report while players are sent to the hospital. We will have the local medical programs on standby and in knowledge of the event to help you out.
