BOULDER CENTER FOR SPORTS MEDICINE

        Position Summary
                  Is responsible for the design and the maintenance of an athletic training program at the specific high school that he/she is assigned.  This will include maintaining health records such as, injury reports, BVSD incident reports and daily treatment records.  Maintaining the athletic training program will also include stocking, updating, safety, inventory, cleanliness and a professional atmosphere.  The ATC will also act as a liaison between the sports medicine center, parents, student athletes, coaches and athletic director.
Job Qualifications
Education or Formal Training
Graduate of an accredited university with at least a B.S. degree in a health related field as required by NATA Certification.
Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
           1.       NATA Certification
           2.       BLS Certification

St. Mary’s Academy is now hiring a part-time Athletic Trainer for the 08-09 school year. St. Mary’s Academy is a private K-12 school located in Englewood, CO.  The position includes working 10-20 hours a week depending on game schedules.  This position including providing athletic training services during afternoon practices and all home athletic contests, which will include some evening and Saturday hours.  Interested candidates should be possess related certifications and related job experience.  All hard working and knowledgeable athletic trainers are encouraged to apply.  Stipend is commensurate with experience.

  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification (NATA certification is preferred)

Part Time Assistant Athletic Trainer

Department of Athletics

Colorado State University - Pueblo

 

 

Position Description:  This nine month position provides an assistant trainer in the Department of Athletics.  The primary responsibilities include assisting the Head Athletic Trainer in providing injury prevention, evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation to the intercollegiate athletic population at CSU-Pueblo.  Additional responsibilities include supervision of athletic training students in our CAATE-Accredited program, team travel and other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. 

 

Responsibilities:  The Part Time Assistant Athletic Trainer will perform the following duties:

·         Prepare student-athletes for workouts, practices and competitions

·         Provide evaluations of, treatment for and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes

·         Serve as liaison between student-athletes, coaches, administration, parents, medical personnel and other support staff in matters of health and welfare of student-athletes

·         Provide education, counseling and supervision for student-athletic trainers

·         Perform Athletics Training administrative duties including: maintaining complete medical records filing system for students to utilize in educational process, providing sufficient opportunity for appropriate student review and utilization of commonly used administrative records and forms (i.e. accident reports, treatment records,  insurance forms, etc.) in accordance with HIPPA regulations

·         Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

§  Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology or related field

§  Current NATA/BOC Athletic Training Certification

§  Professional CPR/AED and First Aid certification

§  Athletic Training experience in college as a student trainer

 

Preferred: 

§  Certified Athletic Training experience at the high school level or higher

§  Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion

§  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, faculty, coaches, administrators and staff

§  Experience with and commitment to working with diverse student populations

§  Exhibit a commitment to abide by all University, conference, NCAA and athletics training regulations

  • Must show comprehensive knowledge of basic injury treatment, evaluation, and maintenance.

  • Must demonstrate competency in general athletic training skills, (i.e. Taping, wraps, stretching, wound care, etc…)

Medical experience a MUST, Orthopedic experience a PLUS. RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for 19 varsity sports. Administrative duties include; liaison with the Campus Wellness Center and Team Orthopedic, record keeping, inventory, budgeting, practice and contest coverage. Teaching responsibilities in the Physical Education, Recreation and Sport Studies Department as assigned along with advisement of Physical Education students.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred. NATA certification required. New York State Athletic Training certification preferred.

Colorado Springs School District 11 is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated certified athletic trainer to work at a  5A high school for the coming 2008-2009 school year. This is a full time position in which the individual will provide athletic training services for practices, home events, and also travel with varsity football. Individuals will receive a salary of 25,000-27,000 per year (depending on work experience), full benefits, and PERA. Current NATA BOC Certification, CPR/ First aid required and a willingness to work flexible hours that will include evenings and weekends.
