Schooling:
- I graduated from South Dakota State University with major in Athletic
Training from Jim Booher.
- I received my masters degree in exercise physiology from University of Northern Colorado
and did
a graduate assistant position with Dan Libera
Place of Work:
- For the last five years I have been the assistant athletic
trainer at the University of Northern Colorado.
- I have assisted with the CAAHEP program.
- Supervised and organized students with
their clinical education.
- Designed rehabilitative programs for all UNC athletes.
- Traveled and worked with football, basketball, and
baseball.
Favorite Thing About Being
an ATC:
- Seeing students progress in their education and becoming apart of the profession.
It is a joy to see
the "light bulb" go off when they grasp a concept, or complete a
competency at a high rate.
- I have worked with many students over the years, and always great to see where they go
and how they grow over the years.
- The other part I enjoy the most is rehabilitating athletes back to their sport. It
touches my heart when I see the athlete go back to compete and perform well, because they
usually come back and say I was able to do that because of your help.
Personal Interests:
- Visit family - mom and dad in South Dakota: sister, brother-in-law and two nephews in
IL, and friends
all over.
- Hiking & Skiing in Colorado.
- Yoga - to reduce stress =)!
- Always trying to improve the golf game.
