SB 26, The Athletic Trainers' Practice Act, has been signed into law!

Governor Bill Ritter signed SB 26 today (June 1, 2009) while visiting the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley!  Many thanks to the CATA members, Rep. Jim Riesberg, Sen. Suzanne Williams, Charlie Hebeler and Suzanne Hamilton, who made this athletic training legislation happen.

The 2009 Spring CATA Symposium and Business Meeting was held May 16-17, 2009 at Valor Christian HS in Highlands Ranch. 

Over 120 athletic trainers from around the state attended these informative sessions. 

Special thanks to Allen Schroeder and Valor Christian HS for hosting our meeting!

Congratulations to the following athletic training students, Jeoff Horgan, Sarah Clare Zachmeier-Kean, and Ashley Cowan, and clinical coordinator, Theresa Miyashita, from the Metropolitan State College of Denver who won the RMATA Student Quiz Bowl.  They have now been invited to compete and represent District 7 at the NATA Student Quiz Bowl in San Antonio in June!  Good luck!
